Sillem's - Black 100g
Good and Bad
I recently opened my tin of Sillems Black only to find it tinder dry. I have been attempting to rehydrate it. I don’t understand why the producer of the blend would select to sell tobacco in a beautiful tin with an inadequate, unsealed cellophane bag. I smoked the blend today for the first time. It is not sufficiently hydrated yet, however, it is a good blend. I anticipate it will be better with some more moisture content. I watched Shane Ireland’s video which described the blend. I believe his analysis is spot on. Clearly an upgrade to the cellophane wrap would give the smoker a better product.

The more I smoke this blend, the more I like it! It is normally in my first pipe of the day. It packs well, burns evenly and has a great flavor profile… it pairs well with black coffee…Arango Balkan Supreme is a fisherman’s dream, especially in a MM Dagner poker or a MM Stubby!

GL Pease is batting 2 for 2 with me ! Quiet Nights is an excellent blend of my favorite tabacco’s ! Powerhouse flavor and creamy texture…I’m also a believer in his Maltese Falcon blend…I will be sticking with both of them. I’ve been smoking this blend in a Savinelli Roma 122, a great matchup! Today, as I am nearing the end of my first tin, I am smoking Quiet Nights in a new MM 155th anniversary silver edition cob. The blend is showing even better in this pipe. I am glad there is an 8oz tin on the way!

This is GREAT tabacco! One of the best I’ve smoked… It will be in my rotation. Smoking it in a Savinelli Porto Cervo 122. Big bowl for a big flavor….Top shelf all the way…

I’m an English smoker, new to Vapers…this is good tobacco but don’t believe it is top 5 of tinned tabaccos. I’m going to stick with Bullseye Flake and Marlin Flake. Doesn’t seem to be a good value for the price. I was too quick to comment on this tobacco … 11/29/24…After 3 bowls, it has proved that all the accolades are deserved.It really is excellent! 5.0 all the way!
