Interesting smoke
So I bought it hoping for 30 year old aged Dunhill nightcap. I actually have two tins of 1992 Dunhill nightcap. I bought a pound for myself of From Beyond, and am currently smoking it out of a Meer. I added one more tin to a friend’s order to bring my cellar back up to a pound. But I was hoping to be unable to resist buying another 15 tins…. Which wasnt the case. Its good. Its just not a perfect blend like nightcap.

I have a theory
My theory is that they only drop 1-6 pounds at a time. Since what is being released is c&d scraps from blending… like the stuff at the bottom of the bowl. And trying not to be wasteful they try not to have much waste. I can’t wait to actually try one of these drops. If I’m ever fast enough…

Its a great burley blend. Doesnt taste too much like a cigarette at all. Way better than Haunted book shelf

Special mood
I have a house mate that almost only smokes night cap, and the occasional bowl of his treasured Frog Morton Cellar. So i figured, “It must be good, right?” While yes this is a delicious, strong, and powerful bowl… I can only bring myself to buying 4 tins. To see if it gets any better in the cellar. Yes I always want some on hand, but I can’t smoke it exclusively like some people.

I am always on the hunt for a light/not terribly sweet aromatic to break up my routine of English, Balkan, and Dark Kentucky blends. The Perique is something that draws me into these Louisiana style blends. The Perique is forward for my palette. and that is from a very intimate experience of smoking C&D's long cut perique meant for blending but as a bowl by itself. if you don't understand perique then I highly recommend buying an ounce and having a small bowl, and also cut it up and use it as a flavor enhancer in your favorite tobaccos. this blend is sweet but not overly sweet. it is a round flavor that is sweet, savory, and a touch spicy.
