Cornell & Diehl - String Duster 2oz
Pleasing Smoke
For my palate the red virginias are at the front, the toppings and Turkishes balanace the mix in a very pleasing way. Just beware if you burn the tobacco it might get a bit stronger but if you hold the flame high and just toast it with patience it will deliver really nice flavor and aroma From my experience this goes better with a medium billiard, small pipes will require more tamping and careful lighting but when you nail this is a winner.

Nice contemplative smoke
If you're into bright burleys definitely you have to give it a try, but beware I would say this one needs to take your time to pack and light it very patiently light it up toasting the tobacco on you r bowl and tamping with care and you'll be rewarded with all the burley goodness You rush and you'll only get ashy flavors, so for me is not an all day smoke but one to get along with a dark coffee and a good reading Also I'd rate the strength with 4 instead of 5 dots since after half bowl the nic-hit comes up even from a very slow cadence

Any time of the day, not to Overthink
If you are in for a tobacco you can pick any time of the day whether you keep working or relaxing at the end of the day confident it will deliver with no Overthinking about it this is a Good one I would describe it as a Virginia Fwd. with just a hint of orientals, just enoght to smooth the edges and the burley don't really get it's flavours but no doubt there it is just to help keep in check the burning characteristics of the blend

Very good fresh virginia
First of all I think this is a solid 4 stars but I'm giving it 5 because it is priced like a 2 stars and that counts to me If you enjoy fresh Virginias definitively give it a try. It is not the most complex of them but the taste is there just watch watch your cadence, have to burn it really slow to get the nuances and even a nice room note, also I want to advice the use of a bent billiard or brandy if you only like Straigth pipes consider a Churchwarden. also for me packing using the Frank method seems to get the best results, the 3 pinch method tends to overheat no matter what (maybe cellaring 2 years at least could improve this) Just for reference I've got best results on a Savinelli 602 (For sure the 606 or the Petersons 68/69 will perform as well if no better)
