Peterson - Old Dublin 50g
Barbecue in a can
This tobacco is unique. The tin note gives off a smoky barbecue flavor. I’ve heard some say that its flavor and profile lies smack in the middle between EMP and Night Cap. That’s just not the case. This smoke is in a class of its own. Spicy, mild and yet smoky, this blend has a sweetness that somehow complexly remains in every sip. Like an award winning BBQ sauce - extremely balanced and rich.
Cornell & Diehl - The Beast 2oz
Interesting blend for sure
I’m smoking my very first bowl of this blend, and I can tell you that this is the most interesting pipe I’ve smoked. I guess it’s too early to make an in-depth analysis of the blend, but here is a very brief synopsis. The tin note is all but pleasant. It pretty much smells like vinegar and if I didn’t have a rudimentary understanding of the curing process of Perique, I would swear it was spoiled. However, once packed and lit, all components mentioned to be present in the blend are distinctly detectable. The combination leaves you with a VERY spicy, yet sweet and marginally tangy flavor profile. The DFK does a decent job balancing out the perique but also delivers a substantial nicotine hit. I was hesitant toward buying two tins, but I’m glad I did because just from first impressions, I can tell that this is one of those blends that will offer a much different and likely more enjoyable experience a few years hence. Overall, Im pleased with it. I can also attest that Mr. Crowley must truly have been in league with the devil to stomach a pure rum-soaked perique mixture!

Pure Delight
Just bought a pound of this a little while back, and I have no regrets. What a superb smoke. While I’m at work, I look forward to coming home and packing my bowl with it EVERYDAY. Do yourself a solid and grab you a pound or five!

The Quality don't match the Hype
This is a very underwhelming, mediocre blend. I purchased 2 tins based on fairly positive reviews. Big mistake. I guess I could sprinkle it around my garden in the spring to keep rodents and deer away.

Permanent Rotation Worthy
It's not the best English blend out there, but it easily beats most others. It offers a very reliable quality and gives a refreshing interpretation of what Latakia forward blending should be.

Favorite Bulk English/Balkan blend
This stuff is unmatched as far as I'm concerned. I can't believe how affordable it is, especially considering it rivals and trumps many of the big name tin blends. If you are an English/Balkan lover, you absolutely can't go wrong grabbing a pound of this blend.
