Lost & Found - The Layover
Can’t knock the cigar, only the condition in which I received it.
I wish I had a review for the cigar itself; however, it wouldn’t be fair to review it based of this smoking experience. To preface the rest of this review, I order cigars from smoking pipes fairly regularly. Every other order I’ve placed, the cigars are in fantastic condition…either smoke ready, or they need a couple hours to rest before cutting and lighting. This order…not so much. I received this order yesterday and put the cigars in my humidor (solid 68%, 68-70 degrees F). Just pulled one of The Layover’s from my order out to give it a try…almost bone dry, burns hot, no flavor. Check my other cigars from this order (1 mor The Layover, 2 each of Skinny Monsters Wolf, Face, Jason, and Frank, and on DTT Stillwell Star Holiday 2024) and all felt the same…extremely dry. I checked the condition of the rest of the cigars in my humidor and all were in great condition. I usually keep the humidor-bags smoking pipes used to ship cigars for a couple days after receiving my orders and they still maintain a humidified environment, even as I am throwing them away. The bags in this shipment are pretty dry in comparison to past orders. Hoping a few weeks in the humidor will revive them, otherwise I’ve lost $100 worth of cigars. I have another order of about $60 worth of cigars coming in soon and hope I don’t experience the same thing or I’ll have to stop buying cigars from smoking pipes.
Aganorsa Leaf - JFR Maduro Junior
Starts good, prematurely ends poor
The cigar starts off good with a dark chocolate and light black pepper note on the palate. At the halfway point, the black pepper starts to increase as the dark chocolate decreases. As it gets to roughly around the last third, it becomes very bitter like over steeped black tea. Unfortunately, I won’t be purchasing again.
Lost & Found - Give A F*CK 2026
Ensure quality, especially if it’s for a great charity.
I wanted to love this cigar, but from the initial cut a light, it was destined to be a dud. My hope it was just the one cigar I had. Initial cut and draw resulted in a draw with no resistance whatsoever. Due to the obvious poor construction, it was a nightmare to light. Once lit, the cigar was a chore to keep lit. I had a section of about 2 inches that produced good amounts of smoke and great flavor. Once I got past that, it kept going out, resulting in multiple relights until it got to the halfway point and would not relight anymore. Pretty disappointing for something with the Caldwell/Los and Found brand name on it. I hope this line is not plagued with poor construction because I would love to buy a few bundles to support the charity the proceeds go to.
