Old German Clay - Basic Briar Dublin with Aluminum (9mm)
Good Briar - Loose, Cheap Fittings
Pros: A light, well sandblasted bowl. The briar is worthy of much better treatment. Cons: Exceptionally poor build. The stem is thin plastic and disconnects from shank while smoking. The tenon is poorly manufactured, a 9mm filter (tried Vauen and Peterson) will most often get stuck leaving one to pry it out with a pipe tool. The metal ring falls off too. I had modest expectations given the price but these were not met. Bought another shape in same order with identical problems.
