About

Whether it's a pricey collector piece or simply an old favorite smoker, proper care of a briar is essential to keeping it at its best, so that we might all the better enjoy ownership of it. To that end Savinelli offers their "Magic Cloth," consisting of two pieces of Italian cotton stitched back-to-back; the beige half impregnated with Carnauba wax and a protective silicone. By simply polishing the pipe with the beige side, then wiping it down with the opposite, blue half, the Savinelli Magic Cloth is designed to help maintain your briar's luster and finish for a long time to come.

I wipe down my pipes and stem with the Magic Cloth after every smoke, it keeps them looking good, clean and ultimately will help in their preservation.

As the title states, it works! It won't give you the luster that a pipe fresh out of the box provides, but it will give your pipe a good sheen that makes the grain stand out. I use mine after a few smokes or so and I've found that it works best when the stummel is still slightly warm. I also use this on my Forge de Laguiole Calumet pipe tool as the scales are made of briar and it does a wonderful job making it look like the functional art piece it was designed to be. This cloth is very convenient to use and it helps keep my pipes in good condition. After a smoke, I clean it with pipe cleaners, then wipe it down with this cloth. Worth it if you have nice pipes that you want to keep looking good. This is for maintenance, not for buffing to remove scratch marks or rim discoloration. Five stars....Read More
